We have teamed up with America’s # 1 talk radio network specifically about real estate, the Real Estate Radio USA network, to bring you Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Radio! If you are in the real estate industry or if you are a consumer needing information on a home, or perhaps an investor looking for that great cash flowing bank owned property in Fort Lauderdale, you’ll find something valuable on our show.

There’s nothing like it in South Florida. We’re not talking about some radio show talking mindlessly into a microphone sounding like someone dictating a letter through a McDonald’s drive thru. No, we’re talking state of the art digital quality sound that you can access right here on the Fort Lauderdale real estate blog. Each show will also be available for on-demand listening both here on our site as well as on Apple’s I-tunes network.

So what will be going on when you tune into the Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Radio Show? This show is going to be a no-holds barred look at life in Fort Lauderdale. It will be opinionated, honest, and I am sure some will think it to be a bit controversial at times. We’re not going to sugarcoat any issues. We want an ongoing open discussion about all that is Fort Lauderdale centered around the local real estate market.

Well, we’re going to bring you interviews and roundtable discussions with business and community leaders in the metropolitan Fort Lauderdale real estate market. We’ll also be sprinkling in some information on special events going on in the South Florida area, talk to some sports figures and even have conversations with some celebrities. I will also throw in the occasional restaurant review as many who visit our site surprisingly seek out restaurant information.

I also want to tell you what the show will not be. The Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Radio Show will not be a boring “pitchfest” from some real estate agent asking or pleading with you to buy or sell a house. That would absolutely be the worst thing I would want to listen to and I don’t expect you to either.

Another feature of the show will be the interactive opportunity we will afford our listeners. On each show you will be able to call in or email us with questions that you may have about real estate or about Fort Lauderdale. Having trouble selling your home? Agent not performing? Can’t get any straight answers about your foreclosure? We’ll have all the answers for you here on the show and our panel of experts will explain things to you in plain English.

So we’ve decided to start off the Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Radio Show by bringing out the big guns right off the bat.

Next Thursday morning, live on Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Radio we will have none other than the Mayor of Fort Lauderdale, Jim Naugle. If you are going to host a radio show about Fort Lauderdale, where else do you begin?

Jim Naugle is the longest serving Mayor in the history of Fort Lauderdale. Originally elected in 1991, Naugle has served for six consecutive terms.

During his tenure as the Mayor, Naugle has spearheaded the revitalization of the Fort Lauderdale beach area and the Las Olas Boulevard corridor. Major developments like the Riverwalk development, and the opening of both the Museum of Discovery and Science and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts took place under Naugle’s realm in office.

Naugle was also a major force in changing the image of Fort Lauderdale from the Spring Break capital of the world to the mega tourist destination for many Europeans and affluent families that now frequent Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale has changed a lot in the last 20 years and much of it was due to the influence of Jim Naugle. The Mayor has also been one that you can count on to speak his mind and has endured a bit of controversy regarding the positions and opinions he has taken in regards to the ACLU, The Sun Sentinel and his stance on gay rights.

What many may not know is that Naugle is also a real estate broker. We believe given his tenure in office, his desire to see Fort Lauderdale flourish, coupled with his outspoken nature and his knowledge of the real estate industry, that Jim naugle would be fantastic as our inaugural guest on the the first episode of Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Radio.
