Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Deal Of The Week!

I got an email last week from a couple in Houston who were re-locating to the South Florida area. They have been following the Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Deal Of The Week for a few weeks now (isn’t everybody??) and wanted to know if there were any communities away from the beach that had some deals that we could feature.

I have to say I was kind of taken aback. Why would you want to move to Fort Lauderdale if you don’t want to be by the beach. Then it dawned on me. Being by the beach is a relative term. We here in Fort Lauderdale consider being by the beach to be within walking distance.

I hadn’t given much thought lately to the fact that there are many parts of the Country where getting to the beach is a “pack the suitcases”Â type of excursion. Well today’s DOW is in Coral Springs. Coral Springs is bedroom community located in the northwest region of Broward County. This suburb of Fort Lauderdale is a modern community with many planned urban developments and gated subdivisions.

Coral Springs is very family oriented with very good schools and tons of things to do.

And guess what? It’s VERY affordableand only 15-20 minutes from the beach. We here in Fort Lauderdale call the Coral Springs area and neighborhoods like that “out west”. Most of us eastern Fort Lauderdale dwellers consider 15-20 minutes far. But when I put it into perspective I realize when my husband grew up in Connecticut it was nearly an hour to the beach.

Some folks in the Tallahassee area may have over an hour’s drive…and they’re IN Florida. So I guess 15-20 minutes isn’t all that bad. Especiailly if the real estate in the area is extremely affordable.

Given what I have said thus far, that the property is in a good community in Coral Springs, that the home is affordable and a quick 15 minute ride to the beach, I think once you see the vitals on this property that you will agree it’s a deal worth looking at.
