For a local yacht club, Coral Ridge has loads of amenities. There’s athletic activities, spa, from summer camp for the kids, to tennis clinics, to yachting for junior sailors, and sporting events for all ages.

They have an amazing Sunday Brunch, every Sunday, right on the Intracoastal from 9:30am to 1pm at the Point Bar & Grill that is not to be missed.

It’s like getting away for a mini-vacation, really. Think about all your friends that live up North, and pay big money to enjoy what we have here, the beaches, the ocean, and our fabulous weather.

Now ratchet that up 10 notches, to include an amazing place like the CRYC, and you are the first person they’ll be calling when they get down here.

Everyone loves to get away from it all, and this is an island unto itself in that regard. Boating is just one part of the total package, you want to just take it easy after being out on the water, it can be tiring, and this is an ideal place to do just that.

If you’re not in the mood to just sit back and dine, there are the perfectly kept tennis courts, and other sporting events for all ages.

The Coral Ridge Yacht Club has announced a number of additions to its executive staff. Denis Anderson has been named Executive Chef, Sam Wolstencroft has been brought on as the new Controller and Lee Pires has been appointed the new General Manager.

Xavier Santiago is a chef with a a vast amount of experience in working with private clubs. He is known for developing menus that reflect the tastes of his clientele. Chef Santiago is able to produce top-of-the-line gourmet meals to down-home cooking.

The General Manager is Lee Pires, and is a highly respected professional in the marina industry, last from the Key Biscayne Yacht Club. His extensive experience in resort and marina management brings so much to the CRYC.

His roster of expertise includes accounting, sales, marketing, and food & beverage experience.

Sam Wolstencroft is the Controller, with an impressive background, including a M.A. from the University of Rhode Island.

His work experience there was of controller, senior accountant, and firm administrator. He then went on to the International Polo Club of Palm Beach. Very impressive history, and the CRYC is lucky to have him with their team.

When you step into the Coral Ridge Yacht Club, you will see it’s rich history, it’s 64 years old, and the charm that it holds is timeless.

It sits directly on the Intracoastal Waterway right in Fort Lauderdale. There are tennis courts, a regal clubhouse, and inside the clubhouse, there are areas for informal and formal dining.

The pool is so inviting, for an area for the kids, and an outdoor bar and grille for everyone to take advantage of.

There is always something going on, they have an incredible calendar of events, with something for everyone.

Give Catering Director, Douglas Boody a call if you want to do any catering for your events, as this is a fantastic setting for weddings, corporate parties, or any special time that you and your family and friends want to celebrate.

About the marina, there are 53 slips that will accommodate yachts up to 100 feet with 50-200 ampere electric services, water and pump-out facilities at each slip.

If you enjoy yachting, then this is the place to be.  There are loads of things to do and see on Middle River, the Intracoastal, and of course the beautiful Atlantic. Diving, fishing, or just cruising, everyone loves being on the water.
