Now that Obama has extended the tax credit for homebuyers, things are going to stay crazy here in the Fort Lauderdale Real Estate market for some time…it’s pretty much a no-brainer buying houses down here right now. Sellers are motivated, banks are motivated and it’s only going to get more crazy as more foreclosures hit the market.

I got an email last week from a couple in Houston who were re-locating to the South Florida area. They have been following the Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Deal Of The Week for a few weeks now (isn’t everybody??) and wanted to know if there were any communities away from the beach that had some deals that we could feature.

I have to say I was kind of taken aback. Why would you want to move to Fort Lauderdale if you don’t want to be by the beach. Then it dawned on me. Being by the beach is a relative term. We here in Fort Lauderdale consider being by the beach to be within walking distance.
