Summer officially starts at the largest music and art festival in Florida, spotlighting just about every musical genre. Listen to tunes, sip cold drinks, and scope out the vistas around downtown West Palm Beach’s new waterfront.

SunFest is the big time. There is no doubt summer kicks off right here. It may be hot outside, but inside the festival gates, the over the top musical lineup makes every one of the festival’s five days hotter. Last year, ZZ Top, REO Speedwagon, The B-52s, The Charlie Daniels Band, Five For Fighting, Ben Harper and Relentless 7, Johnny Cakes and Four Horseman of the Apocalypso, and Shinedown rocked on three stages of live music.

SunFest is about kicking back on one of the floating barges, surrounded by partygoers, DJs, and unique cocktail mixes that will give you a wide smile and a refreshing feeling. The barges are set up on open air in Lake Worth Lagoon.

Art is also major part of SunFest. Find and buy something you like, or discover an artist whose work stands out from the rest, from the more than 75 art vendors to make up the juried show. On the way to the art, stop by the kid’s area, try some great food, have a cold drink, go for a wine tasting, and visit a vendor booth. The last night of SunFest features a spectacular fireworks show – a fantastic finale to a fabulous fest.

Great SunFest ticket packages are available. Feel like a VIP with a backstage pass or reserve your seat near the stage. Five-day festival tickets and individual day passes are all available.

For a different experience all together, try Club SunFest – A members only section with reduced prices for drink and complimentary meals.

Full lineup of top musical acts, as well as wine tasting, juried fine arts and crafts, TGI5K, Rock n Roll Shootout, family activities, and Fireworks show on Sunday at 9pm.

Tickets are still available at sunfest.com, and at the on-site ticket booths. Prices are $34 for one day, $51 for a two-day pass, $66 for a five-day pass. Youth tickets (Ages 6-12) are $10 for one day, $17 for two days or $22 for five days. Senior tickets are $20, at the gate only. Children under 5 get in free.

Many of downtown West Palm Beach restaurants, bars, and nightclubs, are open early and late during SunFest. They also offer exclusive specials found only festival time.

There are VIP tickets, as well for the event, you can call SunFest. The event will be on Wednesday, April 27, to Sunday, May 1, at West Palm Beach Waterfront.

So come on out and listen to some incredible bands, grab your favorite beverage, have a bite, and rock on into the night.
